Old Firehouse at El Pueblo de Los Angeles

This was the first firehouse constructed in Los Angeles. It was built in 1884 and was dedicated to the firefighters and citizens who lost their lives in previous fires. It served as a firehouse until 1997. The firehouse was restored to its current condition in 1960 and it is now a museum of fire fighting equipment of the late 19th century. It is California State Historic Landmark #730.
