Pico House Hotel

The Pico House Hotel is the largest building at El Pueblo del Los Angeles Historical Monument. It was built in 1870 by Pio Pico, the last governor under Mexican rule. It has the distinction of being the first three story building constructed in Los Angeles. Pico house and the rest of El Pueblo de Los Angeles were restored and earthquake-proofed in 1999.
