Wildflowers in Los Angeles

Most of the wildflower sites listed on this page are one or several hours outside Los Angeles making them great day trip or weekend trip destinations. Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve
This California state wildflower reserve in North Los Angeles County is located about 70 miles north of the city of Los Angeles. If the wildflowers are having a good blooming season the California poppy fields in this reserve are one of the most spectacular wildflower displays in the world.

Laguna Coast Wilderness Park
This coastal canyon park operated by Orange County features forty miles of trails and beautiful fields of wildflowers every Spring.
